Black Ark Dot Com was created in 1998 as a streaming shoutcast station and internet gathering place for fans of Lee Scratch Perry and the Upsetters. It has expanded through the years to cover both classic reggae from the golden age in jamaica to modern artists who still have deep roots in the tradition of the way music is meant to be played and recorded. As we migrate from php-nuke based CMS over to wordpress the features from the old site will be added back in over time. The podcasts will be renewed and things will be generally better flowing electronically speaking.

    Good Afternoon,

    I wanted to make you aware that UK video fan site will be covering the Lee Scracth Perry gig tomorrow at the Jazz Cafe, interviewing fans to capture pre and post performance reactions.

    Video content will be hosted on a single video wall where both the video wall and individual clips will be able to be shared and embedded on a personal site or blog and on Facebook.

    The wall will be live tomorrow morning and should look something like this;

    We are hoping to generate content similar to this;

    If you think you might be interested in using this content online when it becomes live, please feel free to do so and I will be sure to send you over the content when it becomes live.

    Yours Sincerely

    Chris Henry

    Hi there,

    I hope you’re having a good week. We’ve just published an interview with Lee Scratch Perry, it was a great experience talking to the man himself, and we’ve put together the full interview on our site. I like the coverage of the Reggae scene you guys do and I thought you might like to take a look, or even share the link. If you’d like a unique summary written up for you to include in article for you to repost on your site, let me know and I’ll have one of our writers get on it:
