Showcase album delivers uplifting old-school sound

San Francisco, CA – April 23, 2007 – King Step Recordings today announces the success of Edi Fitzroy’s new album “Hold The Vibes”. It showcases the collaboration Edi has enjoyed with a variety of musicians over the past decade. Edi explores his roots by re-creating an 80’s feel with lyrics that are uplifting and heartfelt. The album delivers the message that Edi Fitzroy is not just a performer; but an artist with a musical presence that transcends time. His songs have become a staple for Reggae enthusiasts everywhere, and “Hold The Vibes” further establishes Edi’s reputation as one of the greats. It is getting the airplay it deserves.

Edi commented on his music by saying, “I can’t sing fantasies when there is so much wrong on the earth. I must sing about things going on, I have to remind the people when they forget. I won’t stop trying to uplift the consciousness of my people, and all the oppressed people of the world. I want them to get up and stand up for their rights.”

In the past few months’ songs from “Hold The Vibes” have been hitting charts and making play lists on radio stations all over the world. Jamaica’s own Ire FM made “Hold The Vibes” the album of the month in January 2007 and Vibes FM has the album in rotation daily. The hit remake “The Gun (2006)” has been as high as No. 5 on Miami Florida’s WLRN 91.3 FM Top Ten Reggae Charts. Dj Ital K from WLRN’s popular radio show ‘Sounds of the Caribbean’ said, “Ed’s new release deserves to be charting everywhere. I get requests daily for songs from “Hold The Vibes”. It is solid music.”

Colorado’s KDUR (KDUR.org) “Lions Den Unlimited” radio show has had “Hold The Vibes” in their top 20 CD rotation since December 2006 and Bastafari Judah’s “Easy Skankin Roots Reggae Radio Show” in the Netherlands Antilles (PJD3 102.7 FM) loves the track “Chant Down Babylon” and plays it constantly. “Uptown Top Rankin Radio Show” in Irvine, CA and “Reggae Portugal Radio Show” (ReggaePortugal.com) has the new album in rotation. “Hold The Vibes” is also getting airplay in Toronto, New York and the San Francisco Bay Area.
